"We had a great turnout at last year's inaugural Louisiana Obesity Conference and are looking forward to an even bigger event this year," said Dr. John Kirwan, Pennington Biomedical Executive Director. "It's important for health care professionals and researchers in the state to get together annually to discuss access, treatments and developments related to obesity and chronic disease, and this year's event is bringing together some of the most prominent researchers and physicians in the field today."
Those interested in membership and attending the conference can sign up for both at www.louisianaobesitysociety.org. Annual dues are $100 for physicians and $50 for non-physicians. The conference is free for physicians and $100 for non-members. The Renaissance New Orleans Arts Warehouse District Hotel is located at 700 Tchoupitoulas Street in New Orleans.
