The 1st International Conference on Neurorehabilitation to be held in Toledo, Spain

June 25th, 2012

Researchers and students from the fields of Clinical Rehabilitation, Applied Neurophysiology and Biomedical Engineering will meet November 14-16, 2012, in Toledo, Spain, for the first International Conference on Neurorehabilitation, Converging Clinical and Engineering Research (ICNR2012). Attendees will have the chance to promote, feed and encourage a global shift in therapy.

"Restoring human motor and cognitive function has been a fascinating research area during the last century. Interfacing the human nervous system with mechatronic systems to restore neuromotor abilities is facing its crucial passage between research and actual clinical reality, enhancing the potentialities of therapists, clinicians and researchers to rehabilitate diagnose and generate knowledge", said José Luis Pons, researcher at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and ICNR2012 Chair.

The conference will focus on the following main areas: clinical impact of Technology, Brain-Computer interface in rehabilitation, Neuromotor & Neurosensory modelling and processing, Biomechanics in rehabilitation, Neural Prostheses in rehabilitation, Neuro-Robotics in rehabilitation and Neuromodulation.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in pre- and post-conference workshops. Organization of workshops, symposia and special sessions are welcome. Supporting materials for workshops and symposia will be published in the Conference Proceedings.

Extended Abstract submission closes July 1, 2012. For more information or registration details, visit www.icnr2012.org
