The JAMA Network announces new names, new embargo schedules for specialty journals

Starting January 1, 2013 the Archives journals will have new titles and a new distribution schedule. Please provide proper attribution to the new journal names.

On first reference, one time only, we would prefer that you provide this attribution:

"a study published online today in JAMA Neurology (formerly Archives of Neurology) ..."

The names are JAMA (specialty), not the Journal of the American Medical Association (specialty).

Here are the new titles and new embargo schedule:

Mondays 3pm central time/4pm eastern time

JAMA Pediatrics

JAMA Neurology

JAMA Internal Medicine

Embargoed content will be available on the For the Media site, media.jamanetwork.com on Thursdays

Wednesdays 3pm central time/4pm eastern time

JAMA Dermatology

JAMA Surgery

JAMA Psychiatry

Embargoed content will be available on the For the Media site on Mondays

Thursdays 3pm central time/4pm eastern time

JAMA Otolarynogology – Head & Neck Surgery

JAMA Ophthalmology

JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery

Embargoed content will be available on the For the Media site on Tuesdays

JAMA's embargo remains on Tuesdays at 3pm central time/4pm eastern time with embargoed content posted on the For the Media site on Thursdays. And, of course, we will continue to publish other articles Online First from all the journals with the occasional different embargo day and time.
