Pediatric HIV/AIDS experts to present at 2013 International AIDS Society Conference
Experts from the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) will give oral presentations, moderate conference events, and exhibit a variety of educational posters and abstracts. They will also be available for media questions and public comments on any breaking news and research presented at the conference related to:
- Pediatric HIV/AIDS treatments
- Prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT)
- New World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines related to Option B+
- New WHO treatment guidelines for children younger than 5 years of age
- Maternal and child health
- Health system strengthening

WHY: Held every two years, the conference attracts approximately 5,000 delegates from all over the world. It is a unique opportunity for the world's leading scientists, clinicians, public health experts, and community leaders to examine the latest developments in HIV-related research, and to explore how scientific advances can – in very practical ways – inform the global response to HIV/AIDS. EGPAF experts will be able to offer perspectives on these new developments and other breaking news items as they related to efforts to eliminate pediatric HIV/AIDS infections worldwide.
