Advances in temporal forensic investigations

Determining the temporal aspect of a crime is particularly problematic for investigators and is still a major gap in forensic science. Related questions which investigators often ask include time-since-death, stain aging, aging of individuals, 4D representation of evidence, and the presentation of changes over time. Other challenges involved in temporal analysis include; how external factors can be accounted for; how best to interpret changes of time, and how temporal evidence should be presented in a court of law.

The University of Huddersfield is hosting a two-day, multi-disciplined conference which brings together an array of experts from a wide range of scientific disciplines, as well as from different criminal justice agencies (including police) with the aim of demonstrating the latest developments in the field of forensic and related sciences.

For this 'cutting-edge' conference, we invite abstract submissions from researchers and practitioners with an interest in the temporal aspect of criminal and forensic investigations.
