IARU Sustainability Science Congress 2014

October 8th, 2013

With 15 theme sessions with topics ranging from biomass to geoingineering, health, education and food security, the congress opens up for an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, business people and policy makers.

A number of international top name speakers have already been announced.

Confirmed keynote speakers include:

Professor Jane Lubchenco from Oregon State University and former climate adviser to Barack Obama Professor

Johan Rockström from Stockholm University and head of the Stockholm Resilience

Professor Shiyi Chen from Peking University and director of the China Center for Economic Studies

Connie Hedegaard, EU climate commissioner

The International Alliance of Research Universities includes Australian National University, ETH Zürich, National University of Singapore, Peking University, University of California, Berkeley, University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, University of Tokyo, Yale University and University of Copenhagen who is the local host for the congress. The VILLUM FOUNDATION is the main sponsor.
