IOF-ESCEO congress will focus on advances in the management of musculoskeletal diseases
With the ageing of the population, health authorities all over the world are expecting a dramatic increase in the number of people suffering from chronic diseases of bone, muscle and joints. The IOF-ESCEO World Congress on Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis and Musculoskeletal Diseases has become an important educational and research forum to help physicians meet the growing challenge posed by these serious diseases.
Held annually in Europe, the Congress is jointly organized by the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) and the European Society for Clinical and Economic Aspects of Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis (ESCEO). In 2014 the Congress will take place from April 2-5 in Seville, Spain.
Delegates will include leading researchers and health professionals from a broad spectrum of specializations, including rheumatology, endocrinology, orthopedics, radiology, general practice, and rehabilitation. CME accreditation is expected (application in process).
Accepted abstracts (submission possible until January 16, 2014) will be published in 'Osteoporosis International', one of the field's most highly cited peer-reviewed journals. Delegates who submit abstracts may be eligible for scholarships and awards: further information is available at http://www.wco-iof-esceo.org/awards
