Tips on how to share and discuss research online

March 7th, 2014

Megan Beech, current Research Copywriter and postgraduate research student (with the School of Education and Professional Development) at the University of Huddersfield, has published an article encouraging other researchers to boost their online profiles and share the findings of their work.

The article focuses on how important it is to engage with online communities in order to encourage readership and understanding. Megan also acknowledges that the success of online dissemination and promotion requires different tools, methods and approaches depending on the subject area covered and the aims of the researcher.

She presents central tenets that, if applied in a tailored way to online activities, help to expand and engage online networks more successfully. The article discusses the use of social media and Open Acees, as well as providing tips for measuring the success of your online activity.
