NASA Selects Flight Dynamics Support Services Contractor

(PhysOrg.com) -- NASA has selected a.i. solutions Inc. of Lanham, Md., for a Flight Dynamic Support Services contract.

The total value of this indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity cost-plus award fee contract is $95 million. The period of performance is five years.

The contractor will provide flight dynamics support services to the Flight Dynamics Analysis Branch and the Guidance, Navigation and Control Systems Engineering Branch at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md. The flight dynamics disciplines supported include spacecraft navigation, trajectory control, mission design, attitude determination, attitude dynamics and attitude control. Flight regimes supported include low Earth orbit, geosynchronous orbit, libration point, lunar and interplanetary.

a.i. solutions also will provide mission support and network services, including the determination of mission flight dynamics requirements and the planning necessary to satisfy the mission and project needs. These services include operational facility re-engineering planning, development and implementation services and technology development in the areas of navigation, trajectory design and flight dynamics automation.
