New Developments in Multiple Sclerosis Diagnosis, Treatment & Care Free Educational Program
The Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC), Nurse Practitioners Alternatives (NPA), and The France Foundation are presenting two live educational forums that will provide up-to-date information on the diagnosis and treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS). AIMS (Advances in Multiple Sclerosis) will take place on Saturday, September 20th, at the Omni New Haven Hotel in New Haven, CT, and Saturday, October 11th, at the Marriott World Center in Orlando, FL. These complimentary half-day sessions will provide neurologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, rehabilitation professionals, and other health care professionals with up-to-date information on the treatment of MS.
"A high percentage of participants who participated in past AIMS meetings have learned new information that has improved their patient outcomes. MS is a complex disease that affects young adults, and these free educational sessions keep health care professionals up-to-date on everything from diagnosis to treatments to management," said June Halper, Chief Executive Officer, CMSC.
The agenda for both live meetings will include:
· Updates on Developments in Multiple Sclerosis: Immunopathology and MRI
· Updates on the Current and Emerging Treatments for Multiple Sclerosis
· Comprehensive Care in MS: Improving Communication and Coordination Among the Multidisciplinary Team
· An interactive case discussion and questions and answers session are also part of the dynamic agenda.
The AIMS programs are being led by top MS experts:

Professor of Neurology and Chief of the MS Division, Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania;
− Guy J. Buckle, MD
Director of Neuroimaging Research, Shepherd Center, Atlanta, Georgia;
− Marie Namey, RN, MSN, MSCN Clinical Nurse Specialist, Mellen Center for MS Treatment & Research, Cleveland, Ohio;
− June Halper, MSN, APN-C, MSCN, FAAN, will also be part of the New Haven, CT faculty.
