Register now for ErgoX: An extraordinary ergonomics event

The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society is excited to announce ErgoX, an interactive two-day conference that aims to provide safety specialists and ergonomists with practical, usable, and impactful solutions to workplace issues in a wide range of office and industrial settings. Register now for this unique first-time event, to be held June 17-19, 2015, at the Hyatt Regency Orange County near Disneyland.

At ErgoX, world-class leaders in the ergonomics field will translate the latest scientific findings and best practices into effective information, procedures, tools, and approaches attendees can use to improve their work safety and wellness outcomes - all in a unique, user-friendly, and intimate setting.

"ErgoX is a boutique event with a single track that allows attendees to interact with each other and to receive focused guidance from the hand-picked expert speakers," said ErgoX Conference Chair Anthony Andre. "The event is designed with ergonomics touches throughout every element of the participant experience."

The event will kick off with a keynote presentation by Robert Allen, Joanette Lima, and Elizabeth Kihm of The Walt Disney Company, "Snow White and the Seven Ergonomics Myths." Other featured presenters include world-renowned experts in office ergonomics; upper-extremity disorders; alternative workstations; manual material handling; and human factors attributes such as aging, anthropometry, and psychosocial factors. Participants will see how experts conduct ergonomics evaluations.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to seek advice from ErgoX experts by participating in three unique sessions:

"State Your Case" Posters: a reverse poster session in which experts provide solutions to ergonomics challenges and problems.
"Solve the Ergo Mystery" Expert Panel: Attendees will submit their ergonomics issues and the panelists will select one submission for a discussion of potential solutions.
"Ask the Expert" Lunch Tables: Attendees can gather at topic-focused tables to discuss their ergonomics problems with expert consultants and receive potential solutions.

"The entire event is solution-based, from the content of the presentations to the unique poster session, expert panel, and spotlight talks," said Andre. "We encourage attendees to bring their ergonomics problems so the experts and other attendees can help come up with solutions."
