First global conference on systems and enterprises at new Stevens location, Washington, DC, Dec. 3-4
The inaugural Global Conference on Systems & Enterprises (GCSE), to be held December 3-4, 2009, in Washington, DC, focuses on the convergence of complex large-scale systems and enterprises of critical importance to society.
The goal of the conference is to build a community of research activity around targeted complex systems, examined by domain, each successive year. This year's topic includes Critical Infrastructure Systems, including Intelligent/Smart Infrastructure Systems; Resilience and Adaptation in Infrastructure Systems; Crisis and Emergency Management for Infrastructure Systems; Interoperable Infrastructure Systems; Sustainable Infrastructure Systems Design and Management; Risk-based Design and Management; Virtual Enterprises and Infrastructure Governance; Infrastructure Policy and Decision-making; Infrastructures and Complexity: Self-Organization, Emergence and Leadership for Complex Systems; Infrastructure System of Systems Architecture; Infrastructure Analysis and Modeling Methodologies; and Systems and Enterprise Engineering Methodologies, Frameworks and Applications.
The joint organizers, Stevens and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, are offering a group of sessions addressing the needs of industries ranging from financial services, to transportation networks, with researchers from wide range of top international universities, as well as practitioner expertise.
