Patient-centered e-health is topic for half-day conference

A half-day conference, co-sponsored by Stevens Institute of Technology and the N.J. Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (NJHIMSS), will be held on the Stevens campus in Hoboken, N.J, Wednesday, February 3, in which thought leaders and innovators will share their insights and debate how

  • mobile clinics and telemedicine for rural and underserved populations,
  • remote health monitoring and IT-enabled chronic disease management, and
  • personalized Internet communications & social networks
    will (or will not) help achieve the dual healthcare reform goals of lower costs and higher quality outcomes.

When: Wednesday, February 3, 2010, 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. (6:00-7:00 p.m. Reception)

Where: The Babbio Center at Stevens Institute of Technology campus in Hoboken, N.J. (on the Hudson River directly opposite mid-town Manhattan, accessible by PATH train or ferry, car, Newark Airport taxi/rail; complete directions will be posted on NJ-HIMSS website as well as parking/shuttle arrangements)
