Center for Science Writings presents: "Are We Born to Wage War?"
The Center for Science Writings at Stevens Institute of Technology will present the talk, "Are We Born to Wage War? If Not, Why Do We Do It?" by Brian Ferguson, on Wednesday, February 17.
Ferguson, a leading investigator of the roots of warfare, will discuss why lethal social violence arose in human pre-history and has persisted up to the present. A professor of sociology and anthropology at Rutgers University, Ferguson is the editor of War in the Tribal Zone, Yanomami Warfare and other books.
The talk will take place from 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. in the Babbio Center, Room 122. All CSW events are free and open to the public.
