Springer partners with the Anthropological Society of Paris
Its articles reflect the current state of international research into the "natural history of humanity," including the origins and diversity of the human species. Up until now, the journal was published by the society itself.
Articles published in English or French in the bulletin cover the whole multidisciplinary spectrum of biological anthropology from paleoanthropology to human ecology, and from population genetics to burial archaeology. Published twice a year, the journal includes original research papers, review articles, book reviews and meeting reports. It also devotes a special section to the history of the discipline itself.
Mark Guillon, President of the Anthropological Society of Paris, is proud of the collaboration with Springer. "Our society's journal enjoys an excellent reputation and it was important to find a publishing partner with international experience such as Springer. Springer can help us improve our international visibility, in particular in remote countries where it's difficult to obtain print journals. By using the www.springerlink.com portal, we can offer greater access for users to download or read our articles."
"The Bulletins et mémoires de la Société d'anthropologie de Paris will enrich Springer's catalogue of social sciences publications. Springer has over 500 books and around 20 journals in this discipline. Our collaboration with such a historical and prestigious society means that French scientists working in this field will benefit from better visibility, as well as experiencing a synergy with existing content," said Guido Zosimo-Landolfo, Managing Director of Springer France.
