New digital partnership will allow access to high-quality peer-reviewed 3D printing content

July 24th, 2018

In a move highlighting their continued commitment to furthering the adoption of 3-D printing in the medical field for the benefit of patients and clinicians alike, Future Science Group (FSG) has today announced that all content from the Journal of 3-D Printing in Medicine will be free to access to members of 3DMedNet.

Uniquely amongst the outlets covering advances in 3-D printing and its applications in medicine, the move will see 3DMedNet members gain unlimited access to peer-reviewed original research, commentaries, case studies and more. The Journal of 3-D Printing in Medicine is published by FSG's key imprint for clinical and translational medicine, Future Medicine, which offers valuable insight into the latest findings and opinions on key issues in major areas of clinical and translational medicine, and the biosciences.

"Given the rapid expansion of this field, the ability to refer to a peer-reviewed, trusted source on current research and usage of 3-D printing in the field of medicine and healthcare will be crucial in propelling this industry forward and bringing the most benefit to the patient," said Freya Leask, Publisher of 3DMedNet. "This closer partnership between the journal and 3DMedNet represents another element of our continued commitment to serving the medical community."

Membership to 3DMedNet is completely free and allows members to stay up to date in this multidisciplinary field, while also presenting opportunities for collaboration with other experts. This move enables 3DMedNet to continue to provide unique access to contributions from key opinion leaders by significantly expanding the portfolio of free peer-reviewed content available to members.

3DMedNet members and new registrants to the site will receive immediate complete access to all new and existing content. Authors contributing to the journals will also benefit from increased dissemination and exposure of their work through 3DMedNet's strong social and digital presence.

"I look forward to working more intimately with the journal and the publishing authors as the relationship between the publications develops, as well as building the academic rigor of a website which continues to grow in reputation and recognition amongst key figures in the medical 3-D printing space," commented Georgi Makin, Editor of 3DMedNet. "This is a defining step along the road as we work to continue advancing 3-D printing in medicine together."

The site also features multimedia tools, interviews with key opinion leaders, and site-exclusive features such as opinion and special feature articles written by industry experts.
