The Energy Research Institute @ Nanyang Technological University (ERI@N) and Det Norske Veritas Pte Ltd (DNV) have firmed up plans to collaborate in joint research and development in clean energy and environmental technologies.

The scope of the partnership covers industrial collaboration, membership in advisory boards, and research and development projects.

Both parties will also work together in innovation and incubation activities to test-bed, benchmark, and develop rules, standards and recommend practices in the clean energy domain, as well as explore the setting up of joint lab facilities.

Nanyang Technological University Provost Professor Bertil Andersson and DNV Chief Executive Officer Dr Hendrik Madsen signed a memorandum of understanding on 18 March, sealing the broad agreement.

ERI@N is a global centre of excellence dedicated to the advancement of research aimed at improving current energy systems and maximising the synergistic effects of alternative energy sources.
