JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions now abstracted and indexed by Thomson Reuters
The American College of Cardiology and Elsevier are proud to announce that JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions has been accepted for coverage by Thomson Reuters (formerly Thomson Scientific/ISI) abstracting and indexing services, including the Journal Citation Reports®. The Journal will receive its first impact factor in 2011.
"The Editorial Board and the American College of Cardiology are extremely pleased that the JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions has been accepted by Thomson Reuters," commented Editor-in-Chief Spencer B. King, III, MD. "This coverage will help to further increase dissemination of the journal's content to support our mission to provide the interventional community with a long needed forum for advancing interventional cardiovascular care."
Abstracting and indexing will begin with Volume 1:1 (2008) in Science Citation Index Expanded (also known as SciSearch®), Social Sciences Citation Index®, Current Contents®/Clinical Medicine and Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition.
JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions publishes the pivotal trials that influence clinical practice and inform guidelines. Topics of critical interest to practitioners of interventional cardiovascular medicine are examined in clear and focused reviews by the world's experts, and controversial issues are debated in pro/con features aimed at providing improved insights.
"Coverage by Thomson Reuters clearly acknowledges the high-quality, significant work published in the journal and the continuing efforts of the highly-respected editors, reviewers and the ACC. We at Elsevier would like to thank them all for their contribution to this excellent achievement," stated Elsevier's Cynthia Baudendistel, Executive Publisher, Elsevier.
