May 5th, 2010

WHO: The American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) is a professional, scientific society of approximately 12,000 members employed in industry, academia, government and other research institutes worldwide. Founded in 1986, AAPS provides a dynamic international forum for the exchange of knowledge among scientists to enhance their contributions to public health. AAPS offers timely scientific programs, on-going education, information resources, opportunities for networking, and professional development.

WHAT: AAPS is pleased to present Development of Ligand Binding Analytical Methods to Support Immunogenicity Testing: Theoretical and Practical Considerations. The focus of this course is on the development and validation of analytical methods required for the detection and characterization of the anti-drug antibodies present in pre-clinical and clinical samples.

WHY: Attending this session will provide participants with familiarity of immune response as it is involved in the development of antibodies to biotherapeutic agents. Additional focus will be given to analytical methods used in detection, measurement, and characterization of the anti-drug antibody response, regulatory perspectives, and challenges in the area of immunogenicity.
