3rd Baltic Congress of Osteoporosis to take place in Riga

Riga, Latvia will be the venue for the 3rd Baltic Congress of Osteoporosis which will take place on September 3-4, 2010. The congress, to be held in English, is jointly organized by the Latvian Osteoporosis and Bone Metabolism Diseases Association, Lithuanian Osteoporosis Foundation, Lithuanian Association of Metabolic Bone Diseases and the Estonian Osteoporosis Society.

Osteoporosis is among the most disabling conditions of older adults and elderly. These musculoskeletal diseases respect no boundaries -affecting both men and women in all regions of the world, and representing an immense human, social and economic burden. As at the previous Baltic Congresses, the scientific programme will be organized with a broad range of plenary lectures of interest not only to osteoporosis specialists, but also to internists, endocrinologists, rheumatologists, neurologists, nephrologists, family doctors, gynecologists, and radiologists.
