World Scientific’s Tsunami: To Survive A Tsunami book has been
awarded the 2009 Book of the Year Award by the Japan Society of Civil
Engineers.

Published in October 2009, Tsunami was quickly acquired by many
researchers and academics who wanted to have a deeper understanding on
the subject matter especially in the light of tsunami disasters in recent years.
Renowned Professor Emeritus Yoshimi Goda from Yokohama National
University commended the book as being “indispensable for depicting real
