Business, science, education and government leaders to strategize on high-tech materials
A Ceramic Leadership Summit will be held June 21-22, 2010, in Baltimore, Md., at the Hyatt Regency. The Summit will bring together business, science, education and government leaders to discuss commercial and research strategies related to ceramic and glass materials used in advanced armor, semiconductors, turbines, fuel cells, solar-energy panels, batteries, air and water filters, nuclear reactors and high-strength "smart" construction materials. The CLS is organized by The American Ceramic Society.
The speakers at the Summit come from some of the most respected businesses and laboratories in these fields, including Kyocera Vice-Chairman Rodney Lanthorne, Corning Inc.'s Director of Research David Morse and Ceradyne Inc.'s CEO/Chairman Joel Moskowitz. Other participants include leaders from GE Global Research, United Technologies, Penn State University, Alfred University, Florida State University, and the Departments of Energy and Defense.
