Lunch at SocialRES: Behavioural aspects of energy democracy
Join us in the first episode of the Lunch at SocialRES live webinar series as we discuss the behavioural aspects of energy democracy
Citizens' and customers' attitudes towards engagement with different socially innovative business models for energy democracy have been investigated by Trinity College Dublin with a large-scale survey during June to October 2020, which covered citizens of 10 EU countries (Croatia, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Sweden) as well as the UK and US, with each having approximately 800 valid responses and 1600 for Germany.
The socially innovative business model to be examined during the webinar will be energy cooperatives.
In detail, during this second webinar of the Lunch at SocialRES series the following questions will be addressed by Trinity College Dublin:
- what are citizens' general attitudes towards energy cooperatives and their willingness-to-engage with this business model;
- whether the attitudes and willingness differ across European countries and different social groups?
- whether the views of the general public differ from those of the existing cooperative members?
