ICONS sparks the future of #EUSustainableBatteries with a social media campaign at Battery Innovation Days 2024
A collective call to showcase EU-funded projects in Battery Sustainability during Europe's premier Battery Research event.
Investment in research is essential if batteries are to be more efficient, longer-lasting and ultimately more sustainable, meaning less demand for raw materials.
This is the focus of the social media campaign that ICONS will launch during the Battery Innovation Days 2024, in collaboration with several of its flagship EU-funded battery projects: Nemo, Gr4phite3, GIGABAT, Rebelion, and Thor.
The Battery Innovation Days (BID) will take place on November 26-27 in Barcelona (Spain), and online. It is one of the most significant European events for battery research and innovation. Co-organised by leading European research and innovation initiatives, such as Batteries Europe, Battery 2030+, and the Batteries European Partnership Association (BEPA), BID 2024 will gather key stakeholders, including researchers, policymakers, industry leaders and end-users, to discuss the latest advancements in battery technologies, materials, cell design, manufacturing and recycling.
The focus of this year is the importance of research advancements for sustainable batteries, and that is why we have asked the projects' academic and research institutions to give us their opinion on how to boost sustainability within their research field through a short video.
As this is such an important topic, ICONS is encouraging everyone involved in battery research and development to showcase their projects and discoveries with the social media campaign #EUSustainableBatteries.
This collective initiative will promote the critical role that EU-funded projects play in enhancing battery sustainability, driving European energy independence and meeting the ambitious climate goals set by the European Green Deal.
Join us in shaping the future of batteries and energy by supporting the #EUSustainableBatteries campaign.
