Agro2Circular project launches video to show its innovations in waste management

Some 40% of food waste comes from the fruit and vegetable sector. And the only options used for waste plastic have often been incineration and landfill.
This inefficiency demanded a solution—and Agro2Circular has delivered.
Through advanced techniques, Agro2Circular has transformed agrifood residues into high-purity bioactive compounds for applications in food formulations, nutraceuticals, and cosmetics.
The project has also revolutionised multilayer plastic recycling. With innovative processes like delamination and enzymatic depolymerisation, Agro2Circular produces safe, sustainable materials for food and cosmetics, closing the loop of circularity.
Another key innovation is the data integration system, ensuring full traceability and supporting sustainable territorial solutions.
