TwinBATT Cluster Boost to speak at Battery Innovation Days 2025 in Graz
The TwinBATT Cluster Boost will share its latest insights on digital battery testing and AI-powered battery development
The four-project cluster will participate in the Battery Innovation Days 2025, taking place on 2–3 December in Graz and online, to present their joint work on the digitalisation of battery development.
It will deliver a dedicated presentation titled: "Digitalisation of battery development testing: approaches from the TwinBATT cluster." This session will showcase shared methodologies and milestones achieved in accelerating and modernising battery testing and validation across Europe.
The cluster will also contribute to the discussion during the session "The future of AI in battery innovation and production," highlighting how digital tools and virtual testing are shaping the next generation of AI-powered battery development workflows.
Representing a collective effort to accelerate innovation in Europe's battery value chain, the TwinBATT Cluster unites four Horizon Europe projects, THOR, DigiBatt, AccCellBaT, and FASTEST, each advancing digitalisation, virtualisation, and smart testing for next-generation batteries. From digital twin simulations to hybrid testing platforms and open-source validation tools, the cluster is driving a more efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable future for battery development.
THOR Project Coordinator Lise Daniel (CEA) commented: " In the TwinBATT cluster, THOR and its 3 sister projects are sharing the same objective of physical testing reduction. Attending the BID2025 is a great opportunity for THOR project to discuss the methodologies and strategies to implement virtual testing in the battery development process".
Visitors at the event will have the opportunity to meet project coordinators, explore the latest research outcomes, and discover how collaborative European efforts are strengthening Europe's battery research ecosystem.
Battery Innovation Days remains a key meeting point for the European battery community—fostering dialogue, sharing breakthroughs, and driving forward a competitive and sustainable battery value chain for Europe.
