How to create persuasive presentations is the topic of the next in a series of American Chemical Society (ACS) Webinars™ for scientists and chemical professionals.

Scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 13, from 2 - 3 p.m. EST, the free Webinar features Lou Hampton, president of The Hampton Group, Inc., a communication consulting firm, who will illustrate how to communicate more effectively and succeed in today's competitive climate.

Participants will learn:


  • What brain and behavioral research tell us about persuasion
  • An 8-step process to create effective messages and get desired results
  • Guidelines for determining what content to keep and what to delete
  • How to select visuals (slides and models) that will prove your case
