The Sixth International Symposium on Molecular Insect Science

Elsevier, the leading publisher of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, announces that the Sixth International Symposium on Molecular Insect Science is the first of the series to be held outside the US. This year the conference will take place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands on 2 - 5 October, 2011.

Previous symposia, organized by the University of Arizona's Center for Insect Science, were received with great enthusiasm. Its new location will facilitate the attendance by scientists and students in Europe, America, and the rest of the world. Leading researchers from the major areas of molecular insect science will present the latest achievements in this exciting research field and the emerging insect biotechnologies of biomedical and agricultural interest.

"The upcoming Symposium in Amsterdam will be a unique occasion for scientists working both on basic and applied insect science to meet and discuss the cutting-edge information and technology in this highly dynamic research area," said committee member Professor Francesco Pannacchio.
