Insects scientists to meet in Minneapolis

Hundreds of entomologists are set to meet next week at the Radisson University Hotel, in Minneapolis on March 13-16, 2011 as the North Central Branch of the Entomological Society of America holds its 66th Annual Meeting.

Symposia topics will include public health/bed bug entomology, biocontrol of invasive species, trends in corn IPM/IRM research, Diabrotica populations and Sontrol tactics, soybean aphid management, and insect biodiversity in urban environments.

In addition to the traditionally information-packed scientific program, the meeting will also include a Welcome Reception, an Insect Photo Salon, a Graduate Student Luncheon, an Awards Luncheon, and the always-entertaining Linnaean Games entomological quiz bowl competition.
