May 17th, 2011

Thomson Reuters has announced that Building Simulation, an international journal co-published by Springer and Tsinghua University Press, is now listed in the Science Citation Index-Expanded (SCI-E). The quarterly journal, founded in 2008, has been covered in the index from Volume 1, Issue 1.

The English-language journal is part of Springer's Chinese Library of Science (CLoS), which currently includes 94 journals. CLoS is the largest collection of research from China in English. With this new addition, bringing the total to 47, almost half of all English-language journals reporting on top-rank research in China listed in the SCI are from Springer, making it the leading publisher of English-language scientific literature in China.

Building Simulation publishes original, high-quality, peer-reviewed research and review articles dealing with modeling and the simulation of buildings including their systems, environment and human occupancies. The journal has attracted world-class contributors and reviewers. The editorial board members are renowned researchers and experts in the field of building simulation, guaranteeing the highest academic standards of the articles.

Mr. Junfeng Zong, President of Tsinghua University Press, said, "I am very glad that Building Simulation was listed in the SCI-E just three years after it was launched. The journal is now on its way to receive its first Impact Factor. Building Simulation maintains a high degree of diversity among the journal's editors as well as contributing authors who come from all over the world."
