Health data forum features dynamic apps, experts on June 9

A range of new "apps" and other technologies harnessing health data to improve people's and communities' well-being will be demonstrated at the Health Data Initiative Forum, hosted by the Institute of Medicine and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, on Thursday, June 9. IT developers, health policy experts, company representatives, and others will gather at the event hosted by the Institute of Medicine and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to interact with featured innovators, learn more about newly available data, and discuss issues such as privacy, data mapping, and other topics related to the use of health information. Several companies and organizations will announce new challenges and other initiatives. In addition, the winners of "Go Viral to Improve Health: IOM-NAE Health Data Collegiate Challenge" will showcase their technologies.
