Registration opens for first Middle East and Africa osteoporosis meeting

Online registration and abstract submission is now open at www.iofbonehealth.org/dubai-2011 for the largest bone meeting of 2011 to be held in the Middle-East and Africa region.

With the 1st Middle-East & Africa Osteoporosis Meeting, part of a new series of 'IOF Regionals' around the world, the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) expects to energize research efforts in the region while offering advanced health professional education in the clinical management of osteoporosis.

The meeting, to be held from October 19-22, 2011 in Dubai, is hosted by IOF in cooperation with experts from 16 national osteoporosis societies in the region. A clinically-oriented scientific programme will feature Plenary Lectures by leading international and regional speakers as well as Meet the Expert sessions on a wide range of topics of direct relevance to daily practice.

Abstracts - deadline June 17, 2011 - will be published in the leading international journal, Osteoporosis International. IOF is committed to rewarding research efforts through its programme of 'IOF Young Investigator Awards', offered to the top five ranking abstracts submitted by researchers 40 years of age or under.
