Energy Infotech Forum kicks off at the New York Academy of Sciences

New York's unique capabilities in information technology, internet applications, media and finance position it to be a global leader at the intersection of IT and clean tech. That's why the New York Academy of Sciences and NYSERDA are hosting an "Energy Infotech Forum" on June 21, 2011. The Forum will bring together leading technologists, developers, entrepreneurs and investors, to highlight opportunities to realize value from leveraging information within the energy system.

Sessions include: "Commercializing Energy Information," "Opportunities Behind the Meter," "Finding Capital for New Energy Applications" and "Smart Grid," along with networking opportunities and brief presentations from entrepreneurs themselves. Speakers will come from a range of companies, from large main-stream energy infotech names like Con Edison and IBM Research to small-scale start-ups like ThinkEco and venture capital firms like i2BF.

The Energy Infotech Forum is a kickoff event in a coming series aimed at fostering a leading innovation ecosystem in energy infotech, centered in New York City.
