A touch chilly for June
Armagh Observatory reports that June was wetter, duller and cooler than average.
Rainfall amounted to 74.0 mm (2.91 inches), which is 15% more than the average for June.
The number of hours of sunshine was 132.2, that is, about 20% lower than average.
The mean monthly temperature was 12.8 degrees Celsius (55.1 degrees Fahrenheit), that is, about three-quarters of a degree C below the average for June. The maximum temperature recorded was 24.8 degrees C on the 3rd. The minimum air temperature was 3.3 C on the 10th.
These data refer to observations at Armagh Observatory, which has been recording the weather at Armagh since 1795.
