Innovations in cardiovascular therapies and treatments will be presented at TCT 2011
JULY 18, 2011 - Registration is now open for TCT 2011(Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics), the annual scientific symposium of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation, which will return to San Francisco, California, November 7-11, 2011.
Every year, groundbreaking scientific advances in interventional cardiology presented at TCT change the way that heart disease, the leading cause of death in the United States, is viewed and treated. Researchers will update the clinical community on the advances made in percutaneous heart valves, as well as breakthroughs using new therapies and medicines to treat and prevent heart attacks.
TCT 2011 will once again provide "TCT in 3," a focused three day experience designed specifically for the busy interventional practitioner, which features a concentrated curriculum from Wednesday, November 9 through Friday, November 11. Highlights include live cases, late breaking trials and practice management sessions.
The conference will also feature specific tracks for Cardiac Surgeons and Nurses and Technologists. TCT for Surgeons will provide valuable data and training on advancements in surgical techniques, such as lesser-invasive approaches, robotics, novel valves and repair procedures, use of intraoperative imaging, novel devices, and optimal pharmacotherapy, in order to improve outcomes for patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Celebrating its 20th Anniversary, the Annual Nurse and Technologist Symposium will detail new trends and cath lab procedures essential for the allied health care professional.
In 2009, the last time TCT was hosted in San Francisco, the meeting witnessed unprecedented attendance with close to 12,000 attendees from 90 countries. 99.4% of physician attendees surveyed stated that TCT increased their knowledge to improve their practice.
