Atheist's Bible? Megalith Books Has Published a 4,000 Year Upgrade of Religion Called Neuroreality
According to University of Hawaii’s neuroscientist-philosopher, Bruce E. Morton, "Neuroreality is the world’s first scientific religion. It contains no supernatural beliefs. Yet, it meets the many inherent human religious needs for a larger view of life, purpose, an extended family, and a path to personal transformation." Key elements of this resynthesis are found in the book: "Neuroreality: A Scientific Religion to Restore Meaning, or How 7 Brain Elements Create 7 Minds and 7 Realities."
Honolulu, HI, August 21, 2011 - (PR.com) Suffering from seasonal depression in Hawaii, Professor Morton, who was trained at Wisconsin, MIT, and Harvard, said he sought many avenues for relief, some being chemical. After self-testing over 40 psychoactive compounds, he said he “struck gold in the form of multiple hallucinogen-induced ‘ego death and transcendence’ experiences.” While his ego was thus incapacitated, Dr. Morton observed that he “experienced the discharge of impacted traumatic memories, as he saw his life flash before his eyes.” The, he said “he became aware of the profound, sublime consciousness of a brain element, normall suppressed by the Ego.” According to Dr. Morton, “This social brain “Source” gave many startling but intuitively more accurate approximation about life, universe, and reality.”
Dr. Morton said that since this inner Source appeared to have his purpose, his plan, and the ability to accomplish it, he surrendered himself to it. Then, he said “His Source directed him to obtain experimental evidence to support the accuracy of these revelations, including the 21 paradigm shifts described in this book.” Dr. Morton reports that thus far he has published ten peer-reviewed research reports confirming these new ideas. In this book, Dr. Morton asserts “that ways are clarified to produce a similar transformation in the reader: from a smart, but suffering primate into a wise, happy human being.
Dr. Morton states that “Neuroreality is a transformational context for existence bridging brain and mind, science and religion. It is a 4,000 year upgrade of religion based upon the scientific method that clarified the multiple natures of consciousness and reality.” This book is available from Amazon.com
Some comments about “Neuroreality”:
“Dr. Morton should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his brilliant and thought-provoking work, 'Neuroreality.' Not since Darwin has such a world-changing wealth of new ideas come to challenge our knowledge of the universe, life, and the workings of the human mind!” - E. A. Hankins III, MD, UCLA School of Medicine, Founder of The World Museum of Natural History, Riverside, California
“A major contribution by a pioneering neuroscientist to grounds for thinking that a killing-free world is possible." - Glenn D. Paige, Ph.D., Author of Nonkilling Global Political Science, Founder of the Center for Global Nonviolence.
"Even if only half of Dr. Morton's ideas turn out to be empirically supported, he will still have made an unparalleled contribution to the understanding of human behavior at many levels." - Michael P. Kelley, Ph.D., Clinical Psychologist, Washington, D.C. USA.
