MARC Travel Awards announced for the 2011 American Society of Human Genetics Annual Meeting
FASEB MARC (Minority Access to Research Careers) Program has announced the travel award recipients for the 2011 American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG) Annual Meeting in Montreal, Quebec, Canada from October 11-15, 2011. These awards are meant to promote the entry of underrepresented minority students, postdoctorates and scientists into the mainstream of the basic science community and to encourage the participation of young scientists at the 2011 ASHG Annual Meeting.
Awards are given to poster/platform presenters and faculty mentors paired with the students/trainees they mentor. This year MARC conferred 18 awards totaling $29,700.
