Symposium on Post-Infectious Syndromes Affecting the Nervous System
This symposium will provide information to educate physicians, psychiatrists and other medical and mental health-care professionals about the possibility of neurological repercussions to post-infectious syndromes.
Since there is relatively little known about the cause and effect relationship between certain infections and their neurological and/or psychiatric aftermath, this symposium will raise the medical community's awareness of post-infectious neurological syndromes and should provide the potential tools and understanding to diagnose accurately and treat the pathologies that may result post-infection.
