The 18th Annual Institute on Teaching and Mentoring

FASEB MARC Program has announced the travel award recipients for the 18th Annual Institute on Teaching and Mentoring Program in Atlanta, Georgia from Oct. 20-23, 2011. These awards are meant to provide scholars with the skills necessary to succeed in graduate study and to prepare them for success as faculty members at colleges and universities.

The FASEB MARC Program is funded by a grant from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences, National Institutes of Health. A primary goal of the MARC Program is to increase the number of highly-trained underrepresented biomedical and behavioral scientists in leadership positions to significantly impact the health-related research needs of the nation.

This year FASEB MARC conferred 17 travel awards totaling $28,050.
