FASEB SRC announces conference registration open for: Nucleic Acid Enzymes

January 30th, 2012

The Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB) announces the opening of registration for the Science Research Conference (SRC): Nucleic Acid Enzymes.

This conference will take place June10-15, 2012 in Snowmass, Colorado and brings together researchers working at the cutting edge of this topic. Newest insights into the mechanisms of nucleic acid enzymes will be presented. This includes the development of new experimental and analysis techniques, such as single molecule microscopy, to deal with the increasing complexity in analysis of biological systems; engineering novel properties onto existing protein scaffolds, atomic force microscopy and magnetic tweezers to analyze restriction enzymes, and the analysis of large macromolecular assemblies like the ribosome by Cryo-EM. The meeting also sets a special focus on the interplay of these enzymes and different disease states including the aging process. A lively exchange of ideas and opinions among a diverse group of scientists will enhance the transfer of knowledge through talks, poster sessions and ample time for informal discussions. Participation of junior scientists is encouraged, as travel awards and poster prizes are being offered. The goal of this meeting is to provide a unique opportunity to share the most exciting new knowledge about nucleic acid enzymes.
