Research!America Annual Advocacy Awards reception and dinner will honor leading advocates for medical, health and scientific research including Senator Barbara Mikulski, D-(MD), winner of the Edwin C. Whitehead Award for Medical Research Advocacy.

The other honorees: Sanjay Gupta, MD, the Emmy-Award winning chief medical correspondent for CNN; Donald Lindberg, MD, director of the National Library of Medicine; Margaret Foti, PhD, MD (h.c.), CEO of the American Association for Cancer Research; Scott Johnson, president and founder of the Myelin Repair Foundation; and The Food Allergy Initiative.
