From the laboratory to the market: innovation in COVID-19 diagnosis

A video-interview with the Chief Executive Officer of a company from the CORONADX project discusses about bringing new diagnostic tests to the market

In this interview, we asked Jan Buch Andersen, one of the members of the EU research project CORONADX, to shade lights on the rules and efforts for bringing innovative diagnostics from the laboratory to the patients and society.

He revealed what are the criteria for approving a new test and what does the CE marking means for a test.

Within the CORONADX project, his company, called CORONADX AB, is responsible for obtaining approvals for Emergency Use Authorisation from regulatory bodies in different countries and for aspects connected to the commercialisation and market introduction of the diagnostic systems developed in the project.
