CLEVERFOOD Peer-Learning Program: First call for participants

May 30th, 2024

European project CLEVERFOOD launches a peer-learning program to select 20 demonstrators and 40 fellows.

The CLEVERFOOD peer-learning program aims to support food policy labs and councils in facilitating the exchange of experiences to address challenges and develop solutions for creating food system governance strategies and policies.

The program is currently seeking demonstrators and fellows through an open call managed by project partner Eurocities. Participants will have the opportunity to share their knowledge and showcase their activities. They will also benefit from the expertise of Eurocities and experienced peers in organizing peer-learning programs and promoting knowledge-sharing for local actions.

The program provides engagement opportunities such as host in-person visits with financial compensation provided to support organisational costs, and access to online webinars supporting multi-actor initiatives.

The initiative targets labs and food policy councils in EU member states or approved Horizon Europe Associated Countries. These entities must be policy-oriented, actively involve stakeholders, and contribute to developing food system governance strategies and policies at the city or national level.

Find more information in the Guidelines for the CLEVERFOOD Peer-Learning Program and apply by June 21st 2024.

Background:

The EU-funded CLEVERFOOD project aims to establish a fair, healthy, and sustainable food system. It created and made operational the two networks: the FOOD 2030 Project Collaboration Network and the FOOD 2030 Connected Lab Network, to effectively achieve its goals.

Eurocities, the project partner of CLEVERFOOD responsible for managing the two FOOD 2030 Networks, is the largest network of European cities. It facilitates local governments collaborating on global issues like climate change, integration, and digital transition.
